註：呂氏遷港後，餘暇喜遊覽山水，五、六十年代創作一系列以香港風景為題的水墨畫。是幅所繪建築造形寫實，按畫家所題位處「東山臺後」，若對照四十年代舊照片，應為跑馬地司徒拔道上的玫瑰崗學校，即前聖雅拔修道院，乃天主教道明會於上世紀三十年代所建。一九五九年修道院遷離香港，原址改辦玫瑰崗學校，大樓則於六三年改建，本幅寫於同年，所繪或為修道院改建前夕之最後寫照。
