上款：蘇庚春（1924－2001），字更淳，河北深縣人。出身於古玩世家。少時協助其父經營設於琉璃廠之「貞古齋」，復師事著名收藏家「夏山樓主」韓德壽。一九五六年，轉入北京寶古齋書畫門市部。六一年南調粵省，入廣東省博物館擔任書畫鑒定工作，後歷任廣東省文物管理委員會、廣東省文物鑒定組組長、國家文物鑒定委員會委員等職。

註：本幅署具體創作日期一九六二年二月九日，即農曆正月初五日，時值新歲，正是抱石參加在南京舉行「春節畫家試筆會」的第二天，或乘興寫此，以報藝壇仝道蘇庚春屬畫之請。

畫中截取岸渚一角，高士四人，或負手，或相對，沿溪而立，近靠陡坡，遠眺巨巖，畫家寫來點劃隨意，筆墨酣暢，或淺赭渲染見岩石塊面，或散鋒皴擦現山脊稜線，惟人物小未及寸，以細筆勾描，線條俐落準確，體態、鬚眉畢現，飄逸之態自生。畫面拘限於方寸間，卻無侷促之弊，構圖佈置之微妙，在乎畫家經營於不著痕迹間。
