the smaller vase worked in the form of an outward facing bixie and an outward facing phoenix, the stone of even celadon colour; the larger vase enveloped with a reticulated exterior skilfully worked in the form of scrolling foliage issuing double gourds, attached with a chain connecting to an attendant flowerpot, the stone of a pale celadon colour with faint grey inclusions 

Condition

The two carvings are overall very good condition. There is some expected nibbling or insignificant nicks along the edges of the carving, including minor nicks to the interior rim of the floral vase, as well as to the tips of the wings of the phoenix vase or the beast's tail on its finial.
