deftly carved in openwork, the monkey grasping a large lingzhi stem issuing smaller lingzhi on the reverse, with two bats resting above, accents picked out in the darker sections of the otherwise translucent greyish-beige stone, together with a woven necklace threaded with malachite and filigree gilt bronze beads

Condition

The pendant is in overall good condition. There are minor nicks to the fragile extremities, including the tip of one bat's wing. The catalogue illustration is a tinge redder than the actual colour of the stone.
