Description

  • ceramic
of bulbous form, well potted with rounded sides supported on a splayed foot, tapering to a narrow mouth rim, applied overall with a thick lavender-blue mottled glaze transmuting to a mushroom tone around the rim, the glaze pooling in thick uneven drops over the unglazed foot rim revealing the smooth greyish body

Condition

The waterpot is in good overall condition. Some of the excesses of glaze that were pooling over the footrim have been polished which is original to the piece.
