  • ceramic
with deep rounded sides supported on a low foot, the interior decorated in paper-cut resist with three phoenix trailing long tail feathers and a prunus at the centre, all against a ground dappled in caramel-brown, the exterior covered in a rich brown glaze with irregular splashes around the rim

Condition

There is a small area of retouching to the interior rim about 2 cm at 1 o'clock in the catalogue photo, possibly to stabilise fritting. There are a few expected glaze gaps on the underside and a minute flake to the exterior of the foot rim.
