Description

of elegant proportions with a compressed body surmounted by a tall tapering neck below the everted mouth, all on a straight knife-pared foot, the columnar neck encircled by raised fillets simulating bamboo and the shoulders accentuated by four concentric rings, covered on the body and base with a lustrous soft sea-green glaze pooling to a deeper green in the recesses
Condition
About one third of the unglazed footring has a shallow firing chip which has possibly been polished down. On the underside there is a faint Y-shaped body line underneath the glaze. There is a slightly raised spot to the body, possibly a half-developed air bubble which has not burst.
