Description

  • ceramic
the ovoid body resting on a low broad foot, with a mouth raised on a ridged neck between a loop handle and short spout, covered in an ivory-coloured glaze draining to brown around the neck, swiftly painted with a border of light brown strokes on the shoulders

Condition

The jar is generally in good condition. There are some original imperfections, including expected light fritting along the edges of the spout and occasional flaws and gaps in the glaze including a small loss of glaze to the top of the handle.
