Description

the five ink sticks of cylindrical form, each inscribed with four gilt characters reading yun hai zhong ling on one side, with a further four character inscription guicen shi jianshang to two of them and further inscription youhuaitang xueshu mo to the two others, one signed Wang Jinsheng zao ('made by Wang Jinsheng'), all enclosed in a black-lacquered wood box, together with a small circular seal box applied with a guan-type crackled glazed and set in a wood case and stand

Condition

The ink sticks are in overall very good condition. The gilt inscribed characters on the lacquered box has been erased and there are some flakes and wear. The seal box and cover is also in overall very good condition with only some minor original firing imperfections.
