Description

  • jade
finely carved carved and well hollowed with prunus, pine and bamboo branches wreathing around the incurved mouthrim, the smoothly polished stone of a warm yellow colour picked out with russet inclusions, the base finely detailed with water ripples

Condition

The overall condition is very good except for some typical nibbling along the edges or very minute nicks to the carving, likely to be original. The actual washer is of a warm celadon-tinged yellow tone, much richer than the catalogue illustration.
