Description

each with shallow rounded sides rising from a slightly flared foot to an everted rim, the interior incised with a medallion enclosing a scaly five-clawed dragon writhing sinuously among clouds next to a 'flaming pearl', the exterior similarly decorated with striding dragons, applied overall with a deep yellow glaze, save for the base left white and inscribed with an apocryphal Hongzhi mark and apocryphal Jiajing mark respectively
Condition
The overall condition of both dishes are very good except for some very minor original firing imperfections and characteristic crackling of the glaze. The actual colours of the dishes are slightly less reddish comparing to the catalogue illustration.
