circular with straight sides and an everted galleried rim, finely painted on the interior with two white egrets standing in a lotus pond below large lotus blossoms, surrounded by sprays of purple and pink peonies around the interior walls and pink bats among blue-enamelled clouds on the rim, all divided by gold fillets, the exterior similarly painted with peonies below a red key-fret at the rim, the base inscribed in iron-red with a six-character reign mark
Condition
The vessel is in very good overall condition. There are some minor occasional specks or typical flaws in the glaze including a small area covered by pink enamel on the exterior, a couple of pinholes on the interior, some light rubbing to the gilding applied around the rims or minor surface scratches to the enamels but overall these has been well preserved.
