Description

  • porcelain
robustly potted with shallow rounded sides rising to an everted rim, enameled in green on the interior with a five-clawed dragon reaching for a ‘flaming pearl’, within a single line border repeated at the rim, the exterior similarly decorated with two striding dragons chasing pearls against a ground of incised waves, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark

Condition

The dish is in good overall condition and the enamels well preserved. There are some expected pinholes or minor impurities in the glaze, including an unburst bubble on the interior.
