Description

  • porcelain
finely potted with shallow everted sides, each decorated around the exterior with five lotus heads wreathed in scrolling foliage, between a 'classic' scroll at the rim and a border of ruyi around the base, the interior similarly painted with a medallion of lotus, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark

Acquired from C.C. Teng & Co. during the 1990s.

Condition

The two bowls are in overall good condition. There are a couple of tiny specks to the rim and a pin-prick air bubble to the side of one.
