Description

  • sillk velvet, woven
  • approximately 52 by 60cm; 1ft. 8.5in., 2ft.
with overall palmette design, backed in joined fragment of plain light green silk velvet, each corner applied with a silk and metal-thread tassels

Condition

Generally very good pile overall to both levels, with some areas of wear. There are some vertical splits especially in the central area, some of which have been sewn together in the past to repair, and others are open, and reveal in lining beneath. Green velvet on reverse is comprise of two joined panels. Some impressions and small blue surface mark, otherwise on overall condition. Gorgeous silk velvet panel.
