Condition

The board is flat even and ensuring a stable support. The bottom left corner is slightly corrugated, as visible in the catalogue illustration. Ultra-violet light reveals scattered spots of retouching, notably in the trees towards the centre of the composition, along the lower edge and possibly in the shepherd and sheep to the left. The picture is in otherwise good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
