Condition
The canvas has been strip-lined. There is a pattern of hairline craquelure throughout the painted surface, a very small sign of flaking in the sky towards the upper left corner and two minor spots of rubbing in the cloud in the upper right quadrant. Ultra-violet light reveals a spot of retouching in the cloud above the mountain top towards the left and in the cloud in the top left corner, a spot in the hill towards the lower left edge and other minor scattered signs. The painting is in otherwise good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
