Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some greening to the patina in several areas, including the face, the chest, the crevices of the drapery, and the top of the base. There is minor rubbing to the patina at some of the high points, including the tip of the nose and the fingers. There is some staining to the top of the base.
The green marble column is composed of four sections. There are a few chips, notably around the edges and one of the circular bands. There are a few nicks and scratches and minor abrasions. There are a few small marble inserts or reattachments. There is a sticker to the bottom section at the top printed: GUSTAV KNAUER / Spedition - Möbeltransport - Lagerung / Wichmannstr. 7-8 / BERLIN W / Pfalzburger Str. 19-21 / HINRICHSEN
