  • approximately 385 by 181cm; 12ft. 7in., 5ft. 11in.
comprised of three joined vertical panels, with overall repeat pattern incorporating dark red butterflies and lotus flowers against a dark saffron yellow ground

Condition

Overall measurements: 182cm across the top, 181cm across the bottom, 385cm along the left side, 382cm along the right side Comprised of three joined vertical panels. The left hand panel is of different colouration and weave, and does not have outer edging across the top. There is a horizontal join across the width in the lower half of the left hand panel (visible as the design does not entirely match up). There are some fold lines, with wear, and others that have stitched repair, generally vertical lines, and some in horizontal/diagonal directions in the lower section of the central panel (including across the central motif). Some small impressions in velvet and some staining. Shaped repaired cut to far edge on right side and a 'y' shaped repaired split in centre of top edge of central panel. Whole panel lined with the same cerise silk..
