Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble consistent with the material, including light veins to the abdomen, legs and back, and darker veining to the proper right forearm. There is a stable, slightly discoloured hairline fissure to the marble around the proper left shoulder. There are several naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, including to the proper right arm, the forehead, the proper left side of the chest, and the proper right leg; most of these are filled. There are a few chips, notably a small chip to the tip of the nose, and a larger chip to the top edge of the base at the back. There are a few dirt marks, including reddish marks across the signature.
