Description

  • gilt-bronze, marble
  • each 31cm. high; 1ft. ½in.
each domed cover with berried foliate finial concealing a candle-nozzle with a pierced collar, three cherub masks hung with rope-twist tapering body, on paw feet and circular beaded base

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Both are slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. Some minor pitting to cover of one. There is a tip missing from the gilt-bronze leaf on the tapering section of the vase but this is hardly noticeable. There has been some resoldering to some of the spiral twists suspended from the cherub masks which shows slightly darker in colour but this is hardly noticeable.
