Condition
In overall good conserved condition. The gilding is worn and dirty in places and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There are some minor sections of brass missing but this is not too noticeable. There are some losses to the leather where the hinge joins the body of the chest. There are some horizontal construction cracks in the reverse and some scattered age cracks which do not detract from the piece.
