Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some very slight veining to the marble, consistent with the material, including to both cheeks. There are several small naturally occurring inclusions, including to the top of the head, the nose, the proper left cheek, and the chest; some of these have been filled. There are a few minor dirt marks, notably to the back and to the socle at the back. There are several very minor abrasions around the edge of the truncation.
