Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good, with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some weathering to the surface, consistent with placement outdoors. There is a loss to the tip of the nose. The bottom part of the nose appears to have been reattached and may be a restoration. A discoloured restoration is visible at the front. There is dirt to the surface throughout, including white paint residue to the head and face. There are some pencil marks to the proper left eye and to the garment around the chest. There are spots of dirt to the garment at the front, as well as a few filled naturally occurring inclusions. There are several minor chips and abrasions, including to: the eyebrows, the ears, the edges of the collar, the edge of the truncation, and a few of the folds of the garment. There are losses to the spikes of the crown at the socle, and further losses to the bottom edge of the socle on the proper right side, as well as several minor chips.
