Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to fully convey the rich texture of the paintstick visible in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The sheet undulates throughout. Close inspection reveals some pigment transfer from the sheet to the plexiglass on the recto and the verso, and minor isolated spots of discolouration are visible on close inspection towards the outer edges. All other surface irregularities are in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working process.
