  • 12cm. height.
  • 30cm. diam.
of rounded form on a short foot, main body with thick band of vertical lobed cartouches alternately left blank or filled with key-fret motifs, surmounted by a band of geometric and vegetal panels, two with inscriptions, interspersed with roundels, four with blazons, later owner's name 'Hajj Muhammed Ibn Zeydan', dated 1184 AH/1770 AD

Condition

In generally good overall condition, original foot ring re-soldered, some oxidisation to interior, some scuffs and knocks, as viewed.

This blazon was used by a number of Emirs in the end of the fifteenth/beginning of the sixteenth century (See Mayer 1933, p.265).
