The arms are those of Erdödy de Monyorókerk et Monoszló of Hungary and Croatia. This Hungarian family was first recorded in archives in 1187 and was elevated to the title of count in 1485. A few eminent members of the family could have owned this jardiniere: Sidonija Erdődy Rubido (1819-1884) who was an opera singer ; the politician István (Stjepan) Erdődy (1848-1922) and Tamás Erdődy (1886-1931) who was Aide-de-camp and childhood friend of Emperor Charles I of Austria, last Austrian emperor.
