Description
- Silver, Cut-Glass
- 44.5cm., 17 1/2 in. high excluding dishes, 30cm., 11 3/4 in. diameter of dishes
naturalistic form with entwined stems embellished with hanging fruiting vines, supporting latticework baskets embellished in a similar manner, each adorned with two classical figures on a rocky ground, three cartouches, one with crest and motto, the panelled, faceted cut-glass bowls etched with fruiting vines
Condition
The cut glass bowls are in good order and possibly later. Hallmarks rubbed but legible to vacant cartouche around base. Cartouches possibly previously erased. There do not appear to be any losses to the fruiting-vine embellishments. The glass dishes do not rest evenly in the baskets.
