the domed lid with a flame finial and a gadrooned edge, with stylised foliate carved uprights to the body above rosettes, on four paw feet with concealed brass cappings and castors, with a later lead lining

Condition

In reasonable conserved condition, with some lifting and minor age cracks to veneers especially along lines of construction. There is a noticeable restoration to the escutcheon, with some minor losses to carved mouldings with a dummy escutcheon to the reverse, with old marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
