Avec le plus grand raffinement, le sculpteur a signifié les canons de la beauté en pays Guro. A l'élégance de la stature, accentuée par la tension des courbes, s'ajoutent les détails très délicatement ouvragés de la parure, dont celui de la coiffure-talisman portée par les femmes de haut rang, les cheveux retenus par un ruban de cuir sur lequel étaient cousus des versets du Coran.
