Exécuté en 1980 dans une édition posthume de deux exemplaires (autorisés et sous la supervision de Juliet Man Ray), d'après l'objet original conçu en 1967-68. Man Ray a d'abord pensé réaliser une édition à partir de l'original, mais rencontra des difficultés dans le montage du cigare. Le problème fut finalement résolu, mais pas avant la mort de l'artiste.
L'objet original était inscrit de la main de Man Ray : 'I admire Leonardo because he is the father of the Mona Lisa whose mother was Sainte Anne.'
Executed in 1980 in a posthumous edition of two (authorised and under the supervision of Juliet Man Ray), after the original object made in 1967-68. Man Ray attempted to make an edition from the original, but encountered difficulties in mounting the cigar securely. The problem was finally resolved, but not until after the artist's death.
The original object was inscribed by Man Ray : 'I admire Leonardo because he is the father of the Mona Lisa whose mother was Sainte Anne.'
