Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is slightly brighter in the original work. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. There are very few, thin, stabilized cracks on some of the thicker impastos. The extremities of two thicker impastos are missing, one located 24 cm from the lower edge and 30 cm from the left and the other 12 cm from the right edge and 3 cm from the lower. These losses are only visible under very close inspection. Under Ultra Violet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. This work is in very good condition.
