The hand-sewn single-appliqued cotton muslin stars configured on the four-piece wool bunting canton in an oval of 24 stars surrounding a huge central star commemorating Arkansas.  The canton and stripes are hand-sewn wool bunting; the sleeve is linen with two hand-sewn whip-stitched grommets and encloses a period hemp rope.  The wool bunting that makes up the canton and stripes has a wonderful homespun quality to it.
