Each reserved on the front with a Chinoiserie panel depicting a figure hunting an exotic bird in an Oriental landscape and on the reverse with an Oriental garden, affixed on either side with a mask handle.
Condition
Both with some wear and scratching to the gold-ground body as well as short haircracks, where the vase connects with the stem, possibly due to overtightening of the bolts. There are patches of regilding to the body, stem and foot. The underside of rim of each vase is completely oversprayed covering restoration, the extent of which is impossible to fully determine. One with a further fine starcrack measuring approximately 4 inches vertically on the side with the Chinese figural panel.
