Watercolor and pastel over pencil on paper, laid down on board. Surface: In generally good condition; slightly discolored paper and deckled edges with two pin holes at the upper corners.

Catalogue Note
In a copy of a letter which accompanies the lot and is dated March 9, 1961, Benton writes about the present, "It was one of a series made around Douglaston and Great Neck, Long Island before the area was built up as it is now".
