Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wood presents with a beautiful figuring when viewed first-hand. The wooden surfaces have been sensitively refinished and present with minor surface scratches, minor abrasions and minor surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. A few minor and very sensitively undertaken restorations, only visible upon close inspection. The chairs have been reupholstered and the horsehair upholstery presents with minor surface dirt and minor traces of wear to the edges, consistent with very gentle use. An elegant pair which epitomizes Jeanneret’s aesthetic for this important commission. ---
