Condition

Please note that the measurements of the frames are 23 1/4 x 21 3/8 x 3 ¾ in. (59.1 x 54.3 x 9.5 cm). Overall in very good condition. The frames of the mirrors with far greater depth to the decoration than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The plaster elements with a beautiful patination that further heightens the decorative scheme. The plaster frames with a few scattered minor surface scratches, minor discolorations and a few very minor scattered edge losses none of which interrupt the decorative scheme. The recessed portions of the decorative scheme of each mirror with surface dirt and discolorations consistent with age and handling. The mirrored glass has been replaced and presents with a few minute surface scratches. A deeply sculptural pair of mirrors that show wonderful scale when viewed first hand and exemplifies Roche's baroque inspired style. ---
