Overall in very good condition. The marble top presents with wonderful detailing and rich variations of grey, black, brown and red colors to the veining. The marble surfaces with a few small and minor surface scratches and minute edge abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The metal surface displays a rich black patina with a delicate hammered treatment to the decorative elements. The metal surfaces with minor surface scratches, minute edge abrasions, light surface dirt and minor rubbing to the patina consistent with age and gentle use. The decorative domes at the bottom of the legs are very slightly out of shape. Minor seam separation to one of the crevice of one of the dome, only visible upon close inspection. A deeply sculptural and modern form. An extraordinary example of the collaboration between Serge Roche and Gilbert Poillerat, with great provenance. ---
