The edges of both chairs display minor chips and losses to the lacquer along the front edges of the armrest and outer edges of the feet, some of them reveal the original red under lacquer underneath. One chair with an edge loss to the lacquer measuring approximately ¼ inch in length approximately 3 ½ inches below the armrest. The leather upholstery appears later and is executed in a manner and material consistent with the original design. The leather surfaces with a nice patination throughout. The leather presents with minor surface scratches, a few scattered very minor discolorations and a few nicks concentrated to the leather piping. The chair shown in the right of the catalogue illustration with a minor V-shaped tear to the leather, each side measuring 1 inch in length. With a second adjacent V-shaped tear, each side measuring ½ inch in length. The chairs with nice classically inspired detailing to the frame. ---
