Condition

Overall in good condition. When viewed in person, the color of the wood displays with nice blond hue, slightly lighter than in the catalogue illustration and contrasts beautifully with the warm beige color of the parchment. The wood surfaces presents with a few minor surface scratches and minute edge abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. Minor surface dirt concentrated to the lower portion of the legs. The parchment surfaces presents with a few minor surface scratches, minor surface dirt and traces of wear consistent with age and gentle use. Two old paper auction labels are still present, one at the center of the front edge of the top and the other at the center of the back side of the top (one of which is visible in the catalogue illustration). The metal surfaces with minor surface scratches and a few areas of minor discoloration consistent with age and use. With three gilt metal keys that appear to be original. The side chair is in good condition. The wood surfaces of the chair with minor surface scratches, edge abrasions and minor surface dirt and the metal surfaces with minor surface scratches and discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The chair appears to have been reupholstered, with minor surface dirt from use. As seen in the catalogue illustration, the sear with a few irregularities in the height of the seat cushion caused by the spring. . A very stylish piece combining refined materials with an elegant shape. ---
