Condition

Overall in good condition. The wood presents with a wonderfully detailed figuring when viewed in person. The wood surfaces with minor surface scratches, a few edge abrasions and scattered surface dirt throughout, consistent with age and gentle use. The edges with minor traces of wear and minute chips to the veener, some of them have been sensitively restored, the largest one measuring ½ x ¼ in. and located at the proper left of the lower back edge of the settee. One very minor dent at the center portion of the proper left side of the settee. Minor discoloration of the wood in some areas, consistent with age. The settee has been reupholstered at some point in the history of the piece and is in good condition, with minor traces of use. A sculptural settee with great presence when viewed first-hand. ---
