Condition
Overall in very good condition. The wood is richly figured and presents with deeply saturated hues a dep browns and caramel. The wood surfaces presents with a few minor surface scratches, minute edge abrasions and light surface dirt to the recessed areas consistent with age and gentle use. The proper-left front corner with a minute veener loss at the joint measuring 1/8 x 1/8 in. A few minor remnants of polish residue adjacent to the silvered bronze, concentrated to each side at the top portion of the frame. The silvered bronze elements have been recently professionally polished and present with rich luminescence. The silver surfaces with a few minor surface scratches and minute edge abrasions consistent with age and handling. The proper right front edge with a few minor surface irregularities inherent in the making. Some evidence of polish residue to the glass adjacent to the silver. The glass windows and glass shelves have been replaced and present with a few surface minute scratches. The cabinet interior fitted with three glass shelves and eight original silvered metal shelving supports. The interior with is covered in velvet, which is in good condition with minor surface dirt and traces of wear consistent with age and use. The cabinet is currently lacking its key, which does not prevent the cabinet from opening. A superb cabinet that presents with a wonderful scale and deeply sculptural detail to the form when viewed in person.
