Condition
Overall very good condition. The metal surfaces present with minor scattered pitting, minor traces of wear, and evidence of oxidation consistent with age and gentle use. The edges of the metal frames with remnants of white house paint not visible when the fixtures are installed. One of the alabaster panels appears to have been replaced. The alabaster panels show wonderful depth and nuance in the coloration. The alabaster presents with minor surface scratches and minute edge abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. One panel with evidence of sensitively undertaken restoration to one of the corners. Both panels with minor stable hairline cracks across the middle of each panel, only visible under close inspection. The wall lights are electrically stable. A dynamic and highly modern form by Pierre Chareau, rare to appear at auction.
