  • Tondo I Allegro and three Abstract compositions
  • (i) signed and dated with monogram 1931-50 lower right; signed, titled and dated on the reverse; (i, ii, iii, iv) with the artist's stamp on the reverse
  • all gouache and pencil on paper
  • (i) 55 by 57.5cm., 21½ by 22½in.; (ii, iii, iv) sold unframed: 13.5 by 21cm., 5½ by 8¼in. (4)

Purchased from the above by the present owner in 2009

Condition

(i) The sheet is hinged to the mat along its upper edge, on the reverse. There are six pin holes in its corners, only one of which is not covered by the mat. The edges, mostly covered by the mat, are slightly sunned and there is some very minor rubbing in the lower edge of the light blue pigments. The work is overall in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a dark wooden frame, glazed. (ii, iii, iv) all hinged to the mount along the upper edge. Apart from a small tear in the drawing with circles, and which has been repaired on the verso, all three drawings are in good original condition. Presented in folder mounts covered by transparent plastic.
