Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Minor hairline craquelure and some signs of old restoration- which have been addressed with small patches on the reverse - are visible to the naked eye, notably in the thick purple impasto of the bricks and in the green impasto towards the right of the composition. Ultra-violet light reveals small signs of retouching along the aforementioned repairs and in the tree to the horizon, and some other scattered spots. The picture is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a gilt frame with a nameplate.
