Condition

This work is in fair condition. Some patches of faded pigments across the surface of the vellum due to sun exposure are noticeable. A hairline crack that has been restored can be noticed on the bottom part of the work. The overall appearance could be further enhanced if desired with a vegetal pigment layer. Presented in a simple carved wood frame. The vellum is lined. This work has been re-varnished. Under ultraviolet light some notable signs of retouching are noticeable, especially on the bottom left section of the painting. The colours in the catalogue illustration are accurate with the overall tonality being softer in the original work.
