Condition
Bronze putti: Overall in fair original condition with the usual wear to the patina in places especially to high reliefs of the composition and such consistent with handling, touching, and cleaning. Light scratches consistent with age. Gilt-bronze basket with bending to rim and base, also with rubbing, wear, and oxidation. Repaired crack to the top of the boy's head where it meets the basket. Boy's drapery with visible screws for mounting, one hole now vacant, and later filler hiding joins of construction. Please note that this putti is associated to the pedestal.
Pedestal: Overall in fair condition with the usual tarnishing and dirt to gilt bronze mounts consistent with age and atmospheric conditions through the years. Supports with most extensive rubbing and losses to gilding. The marble with the usual minute chips to edges, light scratches to surface consistent with age and use, due to placing object on top.
