Catalogue Note

The original wax model of Fauconnier Arabe à Cheval was exhibited at the Salon of 1873. A bronze cast was submitted the following year. An immensely impressive group, examples can be found in the permanent collections of museums at Morlaix, Toulon and the Château de Compiègne. A silvered bronze version was exhibited at the 1900 Exposition Centenniale de l'Art Français (no. 1735).
