the micromosaic top with lapis lazuli and malachite bandings centered by a view of St. Peter's Square and clockwise from top views of the Pantheon, the Arch of Titus, Capitoline Hill, the Temple of Vesta, the Colosseum, the Forum, the Castel Sant'Angelo and the Bridge and the Tomb of Cecilia Metella.
Condition
Overall good condition. The ebonized base with minor chips, wear, and abrasions to edges showing bare wood, mostly around feet, consistent with use and age. One fluted section of apron of table is now lacking. Three losses to malachite banding, (the largest loss approximately 1 inch long), with six small malachite pieces present. Surface dirt to micromosaic and filled dirt between tesserae.
