Catalogue Note
This wonderful bureau plat is fitted with very elegant male and female bust corner-chutes, identical to the design of the ones on the celebrated center table, index number 965, that was exhibited with a wider array of furnishings at the Salon des Industries du Mobilier in 1902 and again in Liège in 1905. An example of index 965 was sold recently at Christie's New York, November 18, 2014, lot 249.
